For 23 years, Lisa Reilly built the kind of career many women are taught to aspire to.
She worked throughout the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry, building experience across sales, account management, training, mentoring, leadership development and marketing. Her career ultimately took her around the world, collaborating with cross-functional teams and leading strategic initiatives internationally.
From the outside, it looked like success.
Then, in October 2024, Reilly’s 10-year-old daughter came home from school and said something that caused her to question the definition of success she had spent more than two decades building.
Her daughter had been asked to set an intention for her religion class to pray for.
Her intention was for her mother to find a new job that would not require her to travel so much and miss things with her and her brother.
For Reilly, that moment changed everything.

“I had spent 23 years building an incredibly successful career,” she says. “I had worked hard, earned the titles, won the awards, traveled the world and achieved so many of the things I once believed defined success. But what was the cost?”
That question eventually led Reilly to redefine success on her own terms and ultimately launch Lisa Reilly Coaching, a Boston-area coaching and professional development practice serving high-achieving women locally and remotely.
From Corporate Leadership to Coaching High-Achieving Women
Throughout Reilly’s corporate career, some of the work she loved most involved developing other people.Training, mentoring, teaching and helping colleagues reach their potential had been woven throughout her professional life long before she officially called herself a coach.
When she began thinking seriously about what her next chapter could look like, coaching felt less like starting over and more like stepping fully into work she had already been doing for years.
But this time, there was a deeper mission behind it.
Reilly began thinking about the support she wished she had received earlier in her own career: someone to remind her who she was outside of her professional identity, challenge the belief that achievement had to come at the expense of personal fulfillment and remind her that she belonged on her own priority list too.
Today, Lisa Reilly Coaching is designed for the woman who appears successful, accomplished and capable on the outside while quietly feeling exhausted, burned out or disconnected from herself internally.
“She is successful. Capable. Accomplished,” Reilly says. “She’s the woman everyone else looks at and thinks, ‘She has it all together.’ But inside, she’s exhausted.”
It is a woman Reilly understands personally.
“I was her,” she says.

The Reclamation Method™: Coaching for Burnout, Identity and Sustainable Success
At the center of Reilly’s work is The Reclamation Method™, her coaching framework created for high-achieving women who have built successful careers and lives but may have lost connection with who they are outside of their roles, responsibilities and accomplishments.
The goal is not to completely reinvent a woman’s life.
It is to help her reconnect with herself.
The process begins with awareness, exploring a client’s identity, values, priorities, relationships, career, patterns, boundaries and what she genuinely wants from the next stage of her life.
From there, Reilly helps women translate that clarity into real change. creating stronger boundaries, intentionally making time for themselves and making decisions based on alignment rather than guilt, obligation or outside expectations.
“The Reclamation Method™ isn’t about blowing up your life or telling every woman to leave her career,” Reilly explains. “It’s about giving her enough clarity and connection to herself that she can decide what she wants — and then giving her the tools and support to actually create it.”
Reilly’s own experience directly shaped the framework.
For years, people told her she seemed to “have it all.” Behind the scenes, the demands of leadership, international travel and constant professional responsibility often meant she was not fully present for the people who mattered most.
Even when she was physically at family events, vacations or activities, Reilly says emails, calls and work emergencies could keep her mind somewhere else.
That experience helped shape a belief now central to her
coaching work: Ambition itself is not the problem.
Losing yourself in the pursuit of it can be.

Whether she is sitting across from one woman or speaking to a larger group, Reilly says her mission remains the same:
She wants women to remember that they matter too.
Redefining What Success Really Means
For Reilly, entrepreneurship has created an opportunity to build a professional life around that philosophy while also living it herself.
Today, success still includes ambition and meaningful work.
But it also means presence.
It means being available for her children, intentionally creating time with her husband, nurturing friendships and having greater ownership over how she spends her life.
For the successful woman who recognizes herself in Reilly’s story but feels afraid, uncertain or even guilty about wanting something different, Reilly has a clear message.
“You are allowed to want more without feeling guilty for what you already have.”
Choosing yourself, she believes, does not mean abandoning your ambition, family, career or responsibilities.
It means recognizing that your identity, happiness and fulfillment deserve a place alongside everything you do for everyone else.
“You don’t need to become someone new,” Reilly says. “You need to come back to YOU.”
With the launch of Lisa Reilly Coaching and The Reclamation Method™, Reilly is now creating the type of support she once wished existed for her — and helping high-achieving women reconsider not only what success looks like, but how they want their lives to feel.
